Another day, a new facility wanting handlers to help out. The girl was getting used to the 'routine' now, and it seemed an ideal way to get started on Rockport. She hadn't been to Lunar Cattery before, and was more than curious of the facility. She'd heard the term 'de Luna' several times, but hadn't really dug into the term yet. She was curious now, to be working under the facility.
She was shown inside quite promptly once she'd handed over her credentials, and looked over the small booklet she was offered, a few pictures of the cats and the information she would need for their SPC forms. Blinking at the line Nakshila boasted. She had no idea what a Hauptsturmfuhrer was, but the fact she was a Ramses and Mahogany cat more than intrigued her. She'd wondered what such a mix would turn out for a while now. The notoriously good tempered personable cats mixing with the fiery, spirited Ramses blood was something interesting, at least in her mind. So she decided to start with the black queen, moving down the row of boxes and nodding to the riders and grooms she passed, stopping before the one labled "11234 de Luna" glancing inside and smiling to find its occupant 'home'.
The black queen instantly stood, moving forward and clearly owning the area as she inspected the newcomer. Making the girl chuckle, "Queen of the castle, are you?" She asked, offering her hand to the black cat. "You remind me of my Luna, though she's quite a bit smaller on average. Would you mind working with me today, Nakshila?" She inquired, running her fingers through the queen's soft mane. Nodding to herself when the cat didn't seem to mind, "Well then, lets get you all ready and show those judges just what a queen should be, hm?" She asked, patting her neck and moving into the box to retrieve her lead. Taking the black cat over to tack up and ensuring nothing rubbed or would bother her. "Never worked with a Ramses line before, but I have a Mahogany boy, guess that makes you real royalty in shedu terms, doesn't it? If what I understand about the line is true anyhow." the girl trailed off, adjusting the straps one final time to ensure they were tight enough, but not uncomfortable. Carefully smoothing her mane out again and leading her into an open pin for a few rounds before they had to head off. Enjoying the simple pleasure of spending time with the proud feline and eventually giving in to the smile that was tugging at her lips incessantly. There was something to be said for her spirit, that was for sure, and she was getting far to much amusement from the veritable queen who dominated the ring so easily. Nakshila was a pretty girl, from a good line, and it was quite clear she knew it.

She was surprise when they arrived at the Elsivier facilities, ducking her head against the wind and patting the queen's shoulder. Instead of the beach they were lead toward the racetrack, but she nodded after a moment. It made sense, really. The wind like it was you would be blown away if you settled on the beach now, so they started on the Junior track instead. She tilted her head, carefully leading the proud cat through to the gates, mildly glad they were already tacked and ready to go as her companion didn't seem to like the crowd of cats around them. She didn't blame her, but was quick to correct her when she felt the queen growl, rumble vibrating through her. Glad her attention snapped back with a quick tap near her shoulder, "Come now, princess, none of that. You might not get to run if you get into a scuffle, and we have work to do, is ea?" She whispered, ruffling her mane in hopes to soothe the cat somewhat. For the moment it seemed to work, and they were closed in the box for the start, letting her relax from the overwhelming crowd. She wondered idly what had caused the bustle today, and was less than eager to face the others on the track, but needs must and she forced herself to relax. Rolling her shoulders and loosing a sigh as she let the muscles unclench across her back. Her eyes opened again as the pips sounded off, and she gave a little grin behind her visor. "Well, Princess, lets show them what you've got, will we?" She asked, a smirk flitting across her lips  as the last beep rang out and they tore from the gates. Her eyes flashed over the other cats as their jockeys got off to varying starts, some puttering, some tripping over themselves, and others flying out with almost practiced ease. For her part Hope pinned herself to the queen's back and held on as the Princess became a beast. It was abundantly clear Nakshila's full focus was on the track, and the cat loosed a snarl as another queen got too close. Hope's own lip curled briefly, but she leaned farther, standing a bit higher in the stirrups and letting the cat move uninhibited, hands resting on her neck for balance as she put on a burst of speed as if sensing the intent. Shooting off from their pinned position between the tan queen and the wall and giving the pair much needed room to maneuver. Especially with the wind stirring things as it was, some of the lighter cats seemed to be getting buffeted by the storm, and occasional bits of paper or plastic would tumble past, refuse that had no place on the field and distracted the cats. Thankfully the black queen kept her focus, tearing toward the finish with single-minded determination.
when they shot past the mark Tsillah sat back, pulling the cat to a slow halt and looking around in surprise. They were the first to cross the track! Her eyes widened considerably as she glanced down at the queen, then she started laughing as the fact sank in. Ruffling her fur and all but hugging the cat as she purred words of praise at her. She was still in shock, but one thing was certain, there was something to be said for these Ramses cats; and she would definitely have to remember the fact.

Her ears flicked back faintly as they moved onto the freewill course, thunder rolling overhead as the wind continued to tear across the sands. This track though was at least somewhat sheltered, besides the water crossings at least... mostly. She shook her head with a sigh, not liking the idea of going into water with lightning about, but could tell it wasn't close enough yet to make a difference. Though it lit the sky and tore through their ears none the less, the uniform and tack would have been welcome at present as the wind whipped sand up to sting skin and eyes alike. There was nothing for it though, and she shook her head and grit her teeth, pushing her glasses farther up her nose to keep some of the sand out. Glad it didn't seem to bother her mount overmuch. "Let's get this over with then, shall we?" She murmured, urging the cat forward when none of the rest did. Apparently the storm was unnerving some of the jockeys but the girl was more interested in getting done and getting out of the coming storm. Nodding to Tiberiu as she did so, "We'll go. Number one - one - two - three - four, Nakshila de Luna." She supplied as he looked over the list, then nodded, finding them and motioning for her to go ahead with a swift grin that almost seemed grateful. Perhaps it was, being the one to bite the bullet and prove there was no danger in the course despite the weather. Again she rolled her shoulders, shaking herself out before leaning over the queen's neck. "Faster we manage this, pretty girl, faster we get you out of this sand. Lets do this, shall we?" She urged, patting her neck briefly before letting her fingers lace through the thick mane. Nodding and leaning into the cat's movements as she made her way through the course. Deftly prancing over the obstacles and not shying in the slightest at the water. Bounding through it as if she did so every day and continuing on without the slightest of pauses, if anything she got faster, and the girl was grinning despite the weather when they returned to the judge's side. Though she jumped faintly as a particularly loud crack split the air, "Pretty bad when Nature tells you you're getting cocky..." She observed, laughing with the others and glad she wasn't the only one it had made jerk. It seemed the crack was a death toll however, the clouds slowly clearing up as the others took to the course and she watched for a while. Heading back toward the Korung ring as the sky began to darken and she remembered herself.

Slipping off the cat's back she grinned at Emma, repeating her information to Tiberiu for him to note down as she gently led the cat into the veterinary office. Letting the woman look her over and then head into the back. Musing on the sense of things being backwards today, but they seemed to be going well despite. Nakshila was led out without incident and the pair headed out onto the soft sand. Her head snapped up as she heard another boom, thinking the storm had returned, but something was wrong. She blinked, then laughed as she realized what it was, there were fireworks over the city proper! She paused for a moment, watching the willow-like spread of silver and gold tendrils drift back down to earth. Shaking herself and leading Nakshila to the middle of the ring, moving a few more steps, slowly, then stopping when her paws settled evenly. Letting Tiberiu and Emma look her over and snorting as the queen practically puffed up. "That's a pretty girl, yes she is." She murmured as they were 'released', leading her across the sand to show off her gaits as Tiberiu called them out. Patting her neck happily after every circuit, she was doing exceptionally well, and with any luck her scores would prove it.
Once they were done Hope led the black queen out, sighing and then grinning up at the fireworks still exploding high above. Wandering a ways down the beach and then settling down in the sand as the cat settled, taking a moment to relax and enjoy the show while the others took their own Korungs. It had been an odd day indeed, and once again the floridian climes had proven themselves. Stormy all day, yet clear and perfect for fireworks come dusk, she shook her head. Rockport, Florida, America really, seemed like a whole nother world, and yet she was begining to adapt, and this far it was proving more fun than the girl had ever expected. "Wonder what else this island has to show? Certainly not a dull moment thus far, eh princess?" She asked, humming absently and leaning against the cat faintly as a purple star flared into life high above them. Only time would tell, but thus far she was enjoying the place entirely too much. Hopefully tomorrow would be just as interesting, and just as enjoyable. "Could do with better weather though, its always too hot or storming here, I swear. Just a little rain or a few clouds would be a nice change of pace, you know that?"</b. She asked, laughing as the cat pawed at her, "Heh, I know, I know, just let me guess; at least I don't have a fur coat, right? Nor am I black, imagine Florida can be a lot of fun indeed for you, am I right?" She asked, then ruffled her mane again as the finale erupted overhead. "Lets get you home, Princess, tomorrow's another day afterall."
