Single: Madarga
Multiple: Madargon
Language: Madaro

Average Lifespan: Roughly 300 years, though a skilled vitamancer is said to be able to extend this.
Abilities/Function:
History:

Notes:

Physical Traits

Height: 6-7 1/2 ft.
Weight: 150-235 lbs.
Build:
The Madargon are tall, graceful elves. The average Madargan stands between six and seven-and-a-half feet, and are skilled mage. Vitamancy and Fulmimancy coming naturally to the fleet-footed 'kin.
Pelt:
A very fine coating of fur, like peach-fuzz, over their bodies. They come in varying shdes of purple, generally in the medium-range, but they vary darker and lighter at times, some leaning closer to blue and others red, but always clearly a shade of purple.
Head:
...
Ears:
Their ears are set somewhat farther back, and are noticeably longer and more mobile than a lith’s making them hard if not impossible to sneak up on. Madargon ears can be naturally drooped or perked.
Eyes:
They have somewhat larger eyes than most lith, and these tend to be in bright or striking tones. Shocking blues and vibrant greens, even golds and grey shades have been noted. The colored portion of the eye is actually their pupil, which actually glows. The color fading into the black of the iris and sclera.
Feet:
Madargon are actually digitigrade, though with how their legs and foot falls it is almost impossible to tell the fact. The heel is nearly invisible unless flexed, and most assume the elves just have unusually long legs rather than ever realizing they are digitigrade. The toes are very like an average foot, lending to the illusion.
Tail:
Like lithi the Madargon have tails, though theirs are considerably shorter, ranging from one and a half feet to six inches and looking something like a rabbit's or even a deer's due to the fur that grows along and over it, creating a neat little 'triangle' fluff. the tail itself is prehensile and possesses a small barb, generally hidden within the tuft, that produces and releases a toxin comprised both of true venom and the collected toxins of whatever they happen to consume.

Conformation:
First Impressions:

Notes:
Immune to all toxins due to how their bodies process the same. Any poisons that wind up in their bodies are converted to their spines where the venom is effectivly 'fermented' and mixed with any onthers in their system. Rendering it all the more potent.

Notable Traits:

Temperment:
"May all beings look upon me with the eyes of a friend; that I may do likewise."
Madargon as a rule value a state of being they refer to as biwa; a quiet refinement characterised by one's humility, restraint, and simplicity of desires. They are possessed of subdued temperaments and tastes, valuing naturalism and the beauties of asymmetry and imperfection. The hand-hewn. They value the simple, unadorned and mellow beauty that time and care impart to materials and strive to culture these virtues in themselves with a friendly and compassionate attitude.

On the other hand there are traits they disapprove of, referred to as habi; Acting on impulse and to the detriment or sorrow of others being the foremost of hami. Causing pain to others, disappointment, disrespect and crassness, ignorance and attaching oneself to impermanent vices are all taboo, or habi to Madargon. Anger, Lust and other misplaced passions are also looked down on in Madargan culture, whereas Love, Humility, Sincerity and Ethical, wise actions are valued.

Culture:

Society: Egalatarian: Male or females can claim inheritance, titles, and/or occupations freely.

They have always been at odds with the lithi, seeing themselves as a part of the whole, whereas their taller, stronger 'cousins' view themselves as above it all. They co-exist peacefully with the other races, and it is not uncommon to see Madargon and Draekyn peacefully conversing or even working together.
Madargon never kept slaves, as a rule, instead forming communities based on favors and trade, receiving whatever 'work' they needed in exchange for providing their services in return. Sometimes a single Madarga would have a large home, and one of these favors would be allowing others to remain under their roof. Creating an even tighter community, but the lith sometime mistook these as 'lords' with slaves and would seek to buy or take these "snaga".

In the age of the Pimōṭā (or the Praśud'dha) the planet was ruled by the Pimōṭā. There were no other races, and yet there were all the races, the Pimōṭā possessing features of all that would come. The Five in the One, the Pure elves; pure of heart and mind and free from habi, speakers of Lae'em, the First Tongue. The Pimōṭā aimed to help their fellow creatures, and doing so the Pimōṭā split.
One stopped to help a rabbit attacked by a fox, and from these two a new Race emerged. Another stopped to help a wolf, One a cat, One a lizard and the Fith found an injured bird to heal. Each took on something of those they helped in their compassion and thus the Five Races were born as the Last looked on.
In the Madargan mindset everything, and thus everyone, is interconnected and interdependent. With multiple causes and effects constantly affecting everything nothing is able to exist as a singular, independent entity. Everything supports and is in turn supported by eachother; and if one is removed all topple. Cause and effect are thought to be separate entities, one leading the other, and cause preceding effect. A cause, to Madargon, is simultaneously an effect as well; and every effect is in turn the cause of something more still. This is, because that is; This is not because that isn't. From the cessation of this, that ceases also. If one part leading to, or one part of, the whole is absent then the whole too is missing.
Everything has multiple causes, conditions, and parts which bring it into being; for a table to exist requires wood, a carpenter, training, tools, time and more to come together and each of those requires its own participles to come into being and to work toward the table's fruition. Thinking, seeing, thus one will realize that nothing is separate. Not one thing is inconsequential nor insignificant as everything that ever is, or was, has come together in making that table. The same can be said of every person, of every plant and animal, of this world. Looking carefully the skilled can see the one in everything, in the rays of the sun and the leaves of a tree, and these All can be seen in the one. This all, this sacred essence that connects everyone and everything to eachother is called Chr̥inayārī. All beings possess chr̥inayārī, and a chr̥inayārī without a body is called a hōr̥vāya; whilst those whose chr̥inayārī possess the nature of a Pimōṭā are called Imāna, one who Knows or can See things as they actually are. To an Imāna trees, rocks, animals, people, even places all possess, and can possess, chr̥inayārī. None of us are separate; we exist within the same world and share the same complex interrelations within that world.

Ātmāna.
